REM:Code ("the Service") is a mobile-first development interface for working with Claude Code and OpenAI Codex agents on your own machine. It consists of two parts:
The agent is open-source software under the MIT License. These terms govern your use of the relay service.
You sign in via a third-party provider (Google, GitHub, or Apple). We store your OAuth identifier and email to associate your account with your tunnel connection. We do not store passwords.
You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and the devices you use to access the Service.
Voice input: If you use the optional voice input feature, audio is transmitted through the relay to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. Audio is forwarded in real time and not stored by REM:Code. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Connections from your phone and your machine to the relay are protected with TLS. The relay terminates those connections in order to authenticate and route traffic; interactive session traffic is not currently end-to-end encrypted between the phone and the agent. The relay is designed not to persist your code, prompts, or responses.
REM:Code requires Claude Code CLI or OpenAI Codex CLI installed on your machine. Each is a product of its own vendor — Anthropic and OpenAI respectively — and requires a separate subscription. REM:Code does not include or replace access to either.
REM:Code is free during early access, including remote coding sessions, project review, voice input and notifications. No subscription or payment is required in the current release. Your computer, supported coding tools and AI model access are separate requirements.
A $4.99/month subscription is planned for a future release. The price and renewal terms will be shown before purchase, and payment will require your confirmation. Early access does not automatically enroll you in a paid subscription. The Apple Standard EULA also applies to the iOS app.

We aim to keep the relay available at all times but do not guarantee uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. When the relay is offline, you cannot access your agent remotely, but the agent itself continues to run locally.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: data loss, code changes made by agents you approved, or downtime of the relay.
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting hello@remcode.app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your local data remains on your machine — the relay stores no session content to delete.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. The Privacy Policy is part of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence that may apply.
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the relay service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will post the updated date at the top of this page.
